I always enjoy playing poker online. I do gain a little, but I wouldn't call it "make money". I've had money paid out twice. That was a total of around 300 euro in about 8 years. I tend to do it just for fun and play at low limits, where many are beginners. In order to make a plus, you still have to be able to play pretty well (I'm not super good now, but a beginner definitely loses in the long run). The casino doesn't pay out the entire entry fee, but receives part of it. In all other types of game, your winnings should depend solely on luck and not at least partly on skill. And since the casino always gets a pug, you will end up being lousy. But because you are only now dealing with the topic, I can only advise you against online poker. For this you should acquire some practice and knowledge beforehand.

p.s. Online casinos are banned in Germany except for Schleswig Holstein. At least currently. Next year there will be nationwide licenses and from the next week or two (I can't remember the exact date) it will be officially tolerated. Currently, however, you are already making yourself punishable under sections 284, 285 of the Criminal Code (StGB) if you participate (the organizer anyway)
