Twitch Minecraft won't start?

If I want to start Minecraft via the Twitch Launcher everything always works unless I take the 1.12.2! Because when I start this version Minecraft immediately crashes and does not even start properly. I definitely need this version for a modpack so please help! The Forge version is 14.23.5.2854
