I wanted to play the game again on the PC for nostalgia reasons, I downloaded DS4 to play with the PS4 controller, now I'm in the game and have player 1 set up on the Xbox controller. 2. On nothing because I want to play solo. When I'm in the game and press a key on the controller, the 2nd player activates although it says press F2 or another key. I don't want to play with the 2nd player, otherwise you can't move.
When the game is on Steam I've never had any problems. At other games, or as in your case, I would download Joy to Key. There you can simply connect the buttons on the controller to the desired button on your keyboard. So w, a, s, d are then above, left, right and below. So everything has always worked well for me. Also, use my controller as a mouse more often when I'm on the sofa watching Netflix or something.
