This question is only aimed at those who have a 1080p monitor and the Series x does not have this problem on 4K devices.
Hi I have the Series x and run it with a Ausus pg259qnr monitor 1080p 120hz hdr10. Once hdr 10 is not supported on 1080p I don't understand with the ps5 it works too. But the real problem these recordings and screenshots are just so bad, once only 30 fps clips then audio shifted or completely pixelated / blurred, the Xbox one x had exactly the same before that but the clips were completely razor sharp. I once managed a player with 60 fps everything razor sharp but the audio was then offset by 3 seconds. Is that also true for you Lg Nico
It looks pretty good for me. Got the quality to 1080p. I guess the function is just crazy. Sometimes I have very dark gameplay.
And the fact that HDR only works in 4K has to do with the fact that only 4K TVs also support HDR. Technically it is possible in 1080p, there are also FHD monitors with HDR, but the main target group for HDR are 4K TVs.
