I have a question for me a game is being downloaded via disc & internet (XBOX One) and wanted to ask whether I can watch Netflix, so that the download does not break off or something.

Xbox consoles, unlike Nintendo and Playstation consoles, are well designed for multitasking options.
You can have Netflix open while you are downloading something in the background without any problems. There's absolutely nothing to close. The download could, however, be limited depending on the line, but this is not due to the Xbox itself.
In principle, you could even have a game open in the background (just to demonstrate that the multitasking works fabulous)
