Have the Xbox One X. It's not in Game Pass and the purchase version says "Can't be played on this device"
It didn't even come out for the One.
I think it's a shame. Is this the first game that is no longer playable on the old Xbox One consoles, right? Not even on the One X
No idea. Many more games will follow. It also makes sense, because otherwise you would always be tied to the old hardware.
More will certainly follow.

But this is just a hardware revision which is a bit better. The Series X / S is a completely new generation.
The One is out of date in its entirety.

Well The impression is deceptive.
The new ones are significantly better and more powerful than the XOX. This may not be so noticeable yet, but in the future you will see a clear difference.
You also have to consider that the XOX still has the same CPU as the base model. That makes the whole thing pretty sluggish and of course the graphics unit is nothing new either.
It is also the case that the Xbox One and PS4, when they were launched, were already viewed as outdated mid-range hardware. Which was the case. The current generation of consoles is much more up-to-date compared to its predecessors.
Then I have to change at some point. Thought can avoid that for a long time.

The Series S is in stock in the MS Store. Then just order them through your One like I did. If you don't care about discs, the series is really good. I haven't regretted switching from my One X to the Series S.
