Will any of you buy the Microsoft flight simulator 2020 when it appears? I already for the Xbox Series X and you?

Ka

Dear Xplane 11. There are more options with the addons.

Fa

In any case. The game looks really cool, so I have to have it. Depending on how much it costs, I may consider postponing it later.

co

Okay Xplane is good too

co

Yes, I feel the same, but I'll get it for the new Xbox series x

Ka

I strongly assume that the common add-ons will also be adapted for the MSFS2020 very soon.

There used to be the most add-ons for the MS FS 2004, so people wondered whether it was worth switching to the FSX. This then passed to FSX, then to P3d and XPlane. Add-on manufacturers are always more fix than you previously thought…

Since I'm regularly active here in such questions, and therefore also know some user quests & answers about this new flight sim, I would recommend a little caution to you first.

For decent graphics and gameplay itself, this game should wish for a bit of graphics performance in addition to a very strong multicore CPU of modern nature.

In addition, it should not come as an "open world" game without expensive replacement folders; not even on the PC.

I would therefore remain a bit reluctant to play this game even on current PC platforms. For current consoles, I would better not get it because both Sony PS and MS-XBX still rely on heavily outdated AMD Jaguar processors.

8 old AMD Jaguar cores don't even begin (Even with OC not) in the calculation for the game AI like a Ryzen 7 - 1700.

co

Yes I understand you, but the new Xbox is supposed to be good

co

If only I would buy it for the series x not for the Xbox ONE

co

Yes that's true.

My

The "new" X-Box is not out yet. Just as little as the "subordinate PS5". Everything currently on the market at Playsy & Xbox is still based on AMD's old Jaguar technology for microprocessors.

Bisserl improved energy efficiency and slightly higher clock rates along with more / improved memory management, if we take a look at the GPU excesses of the last premiums from MS & Sony in the current gen. Disregard your current consoles.

On the CPU side, "AMD-Jaguar" with 2 × 4 cores is arrested but somewhere between 2012 and 2013 in terms of computing power per core & MHz.

(Experience: a few moons ago I had a short thread with a person, where they tested "Pre" on an R7-2700 (or comparable modern).

And even without SMT, Ryzen 7-2700 is far in terms of performance far above 2 × 4 "Jaguar" itself per core & Mhz.

For maximum functionality, MS-FS 2020 should outperform any current console on the CPU side.

Ma

You forgot something in your selection.

Gamepass users do not need to buy it because it will be part of it. And that's how I'm going to play it.

Ma

But does not change that it appears for Xbox.

Microsoft will already work on the necessary screws to make it run properly. I'm not worried about that.

And yes, the new Series X is not out yet, but neither is the game.

It'll be interesting to play it on Xbox

Well the One X would make it through its 6 teraflops
