I'm having problems with my Xbox one controller. When I push the left joystick up or down briefly, the console thinks that it is pushed continuously in the respective direction. That only stops when I push in another direction. I have already searched the internet, but I have the feeling that what I found there's not really my problem. The controller software is also up to date.
Can I fix it somehow?
Thank you in advance!
Ps: the quality of the video is not so good because I just uploaded it.
This is normal wear and tear or a defect.
The analog sticks are pushed back in the original direction by means of a spring. In the course of time and the constant load when pushing up / forward, this spring loses its tension.
The analog stick no longer springs back.
Nothing really unusual with analog controllers.
If it is relatively new, it is probably a defect and you can exchange it with the existing guarantee.
However, if it is older, it is simply due to wear and tear due to permanent wear. Only a new purchase helps.
