Can I play CoD across platforms?

Since my PC was smoked, I wanted to play CoD MW on the XBOX One. I bought it on the Blizzard Launcher and the accounts are linked to each other (XBOX Live with Blizzard and Blizzard with Activision). But now it says in the Xbox Store I should buy it. I can play Warzone with the content of the account without any problems, same level weapon skins etc.

do I have to buy it again for the XBOX?

COD MW supports cross-platform gaming. PC, XBOX and PS players can play online without any problems.

What doesn't work is to buy the game on the PC and play it on the XBox.
The PC game should also be a bit bigger (improved graphics etc) …

The Warzone mode is basically free. You could also play Warzone without making a purchase.

But if you want to go to COD multiplayer on the XBOX, you have to buy the game again.
