I would really like to buy a next gen console… I actually wanted to get a playstation 5 but since it will probably be sold out by the end of the year, my thought was that I would get an xbox Series s and play with it for a while the ps5 will be available normally to then sell the xbox series s again…
Do you think that would make sense?

If you are OK with losing all of your saved games when you sell the Xbox s and getting a lot less money back for used items, nothing speaks against it.
Otherwise I can recommend a gaming PC, currently it is quite difficult with the graphics cards and you probably have to invest more, but you have more advantages than disadvantages.
Personally, I almost exclusively use the PC, consoles only come in when I'm playing with the family on a screen.
It's not worth it. The Series S has too little power in contrast to the Series X and the Ps5. If the current situation has calmed down, you will have problems selling the part, unless you are lucky and someone unsuspecting pays a good price.
So if you want to get a Ps5, you most likely have a Ps4? You would have to buy new games for the Series S that you somehow have to sell in the end.
