Connect Xbox one controller to Windows 10 PC, via USB cable?

I have connected my Xbox controller to the WIndwos 10 Pc using a micro USB cable, the problem is that it does not connect. It just flashes all the time and is nowhere recognized.

Can someone help me, wants to play Rocket League with a controller via Epic Games.

Maybe it's broken?

Or the cable?

The controller is definitely not broken, it has only been used 1 or 2 times.
The cable works on other devices yes.

My pc has no bluetooth. I don't have this adapter for Windows 10 either.
