Hi, how does that work with the games that are now included in gamepass but for which I had previously bought? So best example I had bought Gta V immediately, now that is included in gamepass, now it says that I can buy it permanently, but I had already bought it where it appeared. Does Xbox mean when my gamepass is not active that I have to buy the license for the game again? Gamertag Captain Caesar. You can answer me here or at xbox
You do not have to buy the license again for a game that has already been purchased but is now included in the Xbox Game Pass.
Normally, and also for me, it is the case that games that were previously purchased digitally (no game disc) but are now included in the Game Pass are still displayed as purchased in the store. Games that run on a disc, where there's no digitally purchased license, are still displayed as purchasable. This is because discs can be borrowed, for example, and therefore no account-linked purchase can be proven.
You can continue to play purchased games that were in the Game Pass for a time but have now been removed. Regardless of whether they were purchased before the addition or within the Game Pass subscription.
Well, yes exactly, I had acquired gta v digitally at the time, only this "permanently buy" function irritated me, so it seems to me that my purchased license was replaced by the gamepass subscription and the system no longer recognizes that I no longer recognize the license as soon as gamepass expires. That is my fear.
Thanks for your comment.
It will not happen that the license is no longer recognized. This is probably a small display error for you. If you have purchased the game and therefore the Digital license with your currently active account, you will not lose it.
I'll just pass this on with the display error.
But don't let that irritate you.
