Has I been hacked, if so what to do?

Almost an hour ago I was charged 65.00 euro on PayPal for "Call of Duty, Cold was blabla", at least I didn't buy that. I immediately changed my PayPal password. However, I noticed that something is wrong with my Xbox. I wanted to log in again and it said, "You have to confirm your password for" hummel.dora@outlook.de "." But this is NOT my email. Also, it seems like my Microsoft account is just gone. When I log in it just says somehow that I should take an account that exists. I'm registered there so something is wrong. How should i proceed? Is there an extension for German Microsoft support?

Have you checked which dealer debits are active on PayPal?

ma

Yep, the 60 euro are checked. Then wanted to report the payment and PayPal says I should rather work with Microsoft. But my account practically no longer exists.

You have been hacked.

Report a conflict to Paypal as external access.

Inform Microsoft tomorrow.

First of all you should think about how this could have happened in the first place, whether you have installed anything recently, whether you have opened attachments to emails, whether you haven't changed your passwords for a long time, etc.

If you are not sure whether this could be the case, it will be difficult to narrow down how they could gain access to your system or your accounts.

What makes me a bit puzzled is that it is no longer possible to log in to PayPal without the associated smartphone or cell phone number, which is why I would assume that you caught something on your cell phone that allowed someone to read or intercept your SMS. Because when you register with PayPal, a confirmation code is sent to your number and you can only register after entering this code.

Now I don't know which systems you use, whether you only have the smartphone or a computer.

In both cases you should format your devices, i.e. Reset the smartphone to factory settings and format the hard drive on the computer and reinstall Windows.

After you have done this, it is first important to change all remaining passwords so that more of your accounts are not lost.

Afterwards you can take care of restoring the access to your accounts, to do this you have to contact the respective support, more than describe the problem and wait for an answer, but unfortunately you can't do this here.

You can do this by calling +49 1806 67 2255 *

* 0.20 euro per call from a German landline. From cellular networks a maximum of 0.60 euro per call.

Or by email customer@microsoft.com

Here you should describe your problem and follow the instructions of the employees.

Alternatively, I would ask if you should initiate a conflict about the PayPal payment, even if I personally don't quite understand why PayPal should have said that, as it falls within their responsibility.

Then I would initiate a conflict about the payment with PayPal and explain the exact problem again here, but then you will have to wait for an answer until they have checked a few things.

To do this, you should file a complaint with the police against unknown persons and take as much information with you as possible, i.e. The name of the email address, preferably a screenshot of the PayPal payment on which you can see the transaction number and other information.

After that, unfortunately, you have to wait.
