Can changing my IP address block games?

I ran into problems weeks ago from someone who found out my IP. In short, to be on the safe side, we ended up changing the IP of the Xbox itself. So actually changed a number. But since that day one very specific game is no longer possible but all the others. Can the change of the IP have something to do with it?

There's so much wrong somehow, you have to take it apart first…

So… Someone found out your IP? So what? Do you also change your phone number or your home address if someone "finds out"? Your public IP is communicated openly, otherwise your internet would not work.

And now the real problem: Because someone found out your public IP, did you change the network-internal IP of your XBox? What's the point? Nobody can get hold of them as long as they're not in your network, and they can't do anything with it…

Just undo everything you've done…

Yes kp. I know Net about this stuff. The guy kept blocking our internet for hours, so I just let my brother do it. In other words. I have what exactly has to be changed now. So at least not what the original address was. And if there was a lot wrong up there then sorry I said kp. Better let me explain it. But thanks anyway

A single guy can't just "block your internet"…

OK. I played with him and talked on the Xbox and at some point he came up with my IP address. Every now and then he probably slowed down our Wi-Fi with DDoS attacks. In other words, my family always had no Wi-Fi for 5 minutes. If it was something else, it was quiet. So and the guy just kept doing that over and over again for over 3 hours or so.

PS: I have now made everything back as before with the settings and the game is still net. Unfortunately.
