I currently have a gaming notebook (Lenovo Y720IKB) which I barely use because I also have an Xbox. That's why it landed on ebay classifieds. From the money I would definitely buy a notebook again. Either a Surface, or a Macbook. Now I got a barter offer.
A 2012 Macbook Pro Retina with 15 "display, i7, 256GB SSD and 8GB Ram.
My notebook has a 15 "display, i7, 512 GB SSD, 1TB HDD and 16 GB Ram.
The problem: It is very loud, heavy and the battery is actually superfluous, since it is immediately empty. It is actually only on the desk. Because MBP is lightweight and has a good battery. The offered device also has only 90 charging cycles.
Or just get a Surface?
Surface, in my opinion, is better and more likely to be worth it
