I'm really at the end of my nerve. Yesterday I got Fallout 76 and nothing works on my 4 year old Xbox. It jerky constantly, you can tell that everything is a bit slower and worse than usual. I can't play like that. I tried everything, deleted games for more storage space, game capture, etc. Nothing helps! I don't want to buy a new one because the next generation will come out in a year anyway. Do you have any tips on what I could improve?
You can't change anything, the console is not like a PC where you can simply upgrade hardware, your console is probably not enough for newer games, the power guzzlers, can you edit the graphics settings? I no longer know whether it was in-game on a console
Maybe that's because of your Xbox?
My buddy still has the Day One Xbox One from 2013 and games like Metro Exodus, Gears 5, The Witcher 3 are all still going smoothly
Well, that's probably more due to the scrap Bethesda has since tapped. The game is just badly programmed.
It may help to take the console off the power, which clears the cache. But I'm not giving you much hope.
So to rate Fallout 76 as a new and performance-eating game borders on an insolence. It is simply badly programmed.
Forza Horizon 4, Red Death Redemption 2 or even the older The Witcher 3 show how to do it right. Thanks to capable developers, the performance of the box is obviously sufficient.
Sorry I didn't know if it was new or older, I don't play fallout games myself, but I knew they were performance-eating. Gta is also badly programmed, so I understand what you mean.
I'll buy a new one if it's still cheeky
Well then good luck. I would recommend the One X. You are on the safe side when it comes to performance. You have to know for yourself whether it is worth the money.
