I have owned the Xbox one for a few years and have thought about maybe buying the Xbox one X for my birthday. My question is worth it? And what about games like Rainbow six siege or battlefield that I have on CD? Can I just slide them in and play on the new X?
Just wait for December and the Xbox Series X will come out. It's worth more.
I would also wait for the new generation.
Nevertheless, the CDs should work.
Even the new generation is said to be backwards compatible, although I don't know if they will get a CD drive, but someone can write me in the comments.
You have to know that.
The X is currently available for 250 euro with two controllers or for 270 with a game.
I can't say whether it's still worth it when the Series X arrives at Christmas.
I probably wouldn't do it. At least not yet, if you don't know the price of the Series X exactly.
Oh yes… Everything that runs on the Xbox One also runs on the One X. This also applies to the Series X.
So I would buy an Xbox one x and connect me and so, would I have all my games that I have now on the one and can actually continue to play with a better console?
Yes.
How long is Xbox one x supported? So how long can I play my Xbox etc. With her?
No idea. You have to ask Microsoft. As far as I know, there's no official statement about the lifecycle of One.
But I guess it is significantly longer than the 360. For the goods it was 10 or 11 years (sometime in 2016).
At 15 years old it would be somewhere in 2028.
