🌸 Hi dear community 🌸

Question 1

I wonder if you can continue to play Xbox One games on Windows? So take the score over with you.

I could imagine that you can save the game in a cloud or something. And so it can also access it from another network.

Then another question or two comes to mind.

Question 2: Can I see somewhere on the PC that it is stored in the cloud. (I think you could see that the previous game was saved in a cloud)

QUESTION 3 = is it necessary to have a Game Pass Ultimate in order to generally play games on a PC or to take over the memory status. Or play your own digital game on your PC.

Question 3 is actually worth a separate question 🤯, let's see

🌸Thank you🌸

⚠️ I also googled that briefly, but didn't really find anything (I have to admit, I just opened a website and then I went straight to the good question 😇😇)

Games in Play Anywhere can be played on both with the same scores. The best example I have right now is Forza Horizon 3, 4 and Forza Motorsport 7!

Regarding your first question:

There are the so-called Play Anywhere games. If you buy one of these digitally on the Xbox One, you also have it on PC, or vice versa, if you buy it on PC in the Microsoft Store, you finally also have it for the Xbox console.

This Play Anywhere feature only works with games that you have bought directly from Microsoft. This means: if you buy the game on PC and want it on Xbox, you have to buy it in the Microsoft Store. Other stores such as Epic, GoG, or Steam are not included in the Play Anywhere program. So if you were to buy Forza Horizon 4, which will be available soon on Steam, you won't be able to play it on Xbox.

The same applies to physical data carriers, i.e. Game discs. For example, if you get Halo Wars 2 for the One, it will only work there and only be playable on disk.

Xbox Classic and Xbox 360 games are NOT included in the Play Anywhere program.

The following games which, to my knowledge, support Play Anywhere:

Halo Wars 2

Forza Horizon 4

Sea of Thieves

Ark Survival Evolved

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Cuphead

Subnautica

Grounded

Halo Wars Defenitive Edition

Gears of War 4 and 5

Forza Motorsport 7

The games with the Play Anywhere feature also have crossplay with each other, i.e. The MS Store version of the PC definitely has crossplay with the Xbox version - if the game has multiplayer at all. Progress is also always synchronized with one another. So if you get a success on the Xbox, the PC version also has the success.

There are also games that you would have to buy several times, but can be played together on almost all platforms or synchronized. For example, it's Halo Master Chief Collection, which has to be purchased individually on all platforms (Steam, MS Store on PC and Xbox), but still has crossplay (only PVP and firefight, not the campaign) and account synchronization. One game, however, has a completely different system, for example Minecraft Bedrock Edition (so called by the community, officially and printed on the game covers it is simply called Minecraft). The game is available on a number of systems, but has to be purchased on every single system. The success system is also documented on each individual version. So if you get a success on the Xbox version, you don't have to get it on all other versions. Since the Bedrock edition has a total of 2600 gamerscore with 111 successes, you can get a total of 9 x 2600 gamerscore on Android, Windows 10, IOS, nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Amazon Kindle Fire OS, Apple TV, Gear VR, and Windows 10 Mobile, for a total of 23400 gamerscore earn. Well, enough distracted from the topic, despite these huge advantages for success hunters, the game still has a function to synchronize its scores (except for the in-game currency for the Marketplace between Playstation and all other systems, as well as play-exclusive textures or mashup packs. )

Such games that I know would be:

Halo MCC

Space Engineers

Minecraft

Answer to question number 2:

The filter can be used in the MS store on PC. When opening the store, simply click on the "Gaming" tab, ideally click on "Paid Top Games" and use the filter there. There click on "More Filters", and under the filter function "Functions" you select "Cloud-enabled". Remember that the store only shows games that are shown as paid top games. Unfortunately, there's no menu item where ALL Xbox or games available on MS store are displayed. (actually a shame)

Answer to your question number 3:

Yes and no.

You can buy Gamepass in 3 different forms: GP for Xbox, GP for PC, or GP Ultimate.

If you now have games that you can only play on one system, for example because you only have GP for Xbox, you should either upgrade to Ultimate, which gives you access to PC AND Xbox games, or you should have the games owned, regardless whether by disc or digitally - the same applies vice versa. Play Anywhere games are cloud-capable on both systems, regardless of whether you have GP only for PC or Xbox.

I hope I could help you this far. If you have further questions or something is incorrect or not understood at all, I'm happy to help you.
