I have a multiple socket with a CE VDE and GS mark. However, it only cost 1 euro in the hardware store and is very light. It is generally very cheap. I have my XBOX ONE, Smarttv and an alarm clock on it. I have read that there's a risk of fire with cheap socket distributors. Do I have to be scared or does it fit?
Use them temporarily and get something sensible. In our fire protection training in the clinic, the fire brigade always warns against using cheap multiple sockets from hardware stores and furniture stores. Even if they are embossed and marked with some kind of safety signs, you can never be absolutely sure. What do you want to expect for one, two or three euro?

The main difference is the max. Resilience. Unfortunately, such multiple plugs can also be sold with a load capacity of only 2400W ect, although a maximum protection of the cables with 3680W is allowed and is usually done (16A fuse). So it would be very easy to overload the power strip without it being of any concern to the security… The expensive ones are usually approved up to 3600W and can't simply be overloaded without the fuse tripping at some point.
Since you do not operate a fan heater or a washing machine on something like that, but XBox, TV and alarm clock, so small consumers, I would not worry… Just look how tight the plugs are… If the jiggles or pulling easily, I would vlt not use if the plugs are tight, I have no concerns. Just pay attention to what power is indicated on the bar and make sure that you can't achieve that with all devices in total, and that the plugs are properly seated and are not loose…
Would say if the thing is only burdened with messy stuff (small consumption) you can do it too. For strong consumers only branded goods with nameplate and load up to 3600watt possible
