Which charging socket / port do I have to order for the PS4 controller?
I have the following charging socket [original, which is worded defective] (2 pictures), JDS-030.
Then I ordered a replacement charging socket, also JDS-030. They say differently. Please note that the white part at the tip is smaller than the original and the port where the ribbon cable comes from has a black cap, which is not the case with the original. Here 1 picture of the bought one.
Then after I connected it to the ribbon cable and tested it, the little charging port started smoking, but so much that it burned my finger. I reacted accordingly and pulled the micro USB cable from the PC, which I think was an appropriate reaction. However, my flex cable is burnt and broken. Then I tried a different flex cable, but it also failed. Now at least I know how to make a fire without a lighter.
But what happened wrong? I assumed that the part I ordered was simply defective because I had already attached the flex cables correctly. But I suspect that it could also be because it is not the right version, because it looks different, but as you can see in the pictures, the numbers are almost identical. WHAT DO I NEED TO ORDER? Can an expert explain the situation to me?
