Moin Leudeee,
I'm just wondering if you could turn a console (PS4 or Xbox One) into a PC with an SSD swap? So if there's Windows on the SSD?
It greets
a schnitzel
It becomes very difficult because the console and the hardware installed in it are not designed to run an operating system such as Windows, or to connect a mouse.
I mean it would work somehow. But simply replacing the SSD will not be enough…
First of all, it won't work because Sony has safely locked the firmware. And, even if you get those unlocked, what about drivers for Windows? Right, not available, so you can bend it + you can then remove the guarantee.
Team Fail0verflow put it this way:
"What is a PC? - A horrible, horrible thing build upon piles of legacy nonsense dating back to 1981. - The PS4 is NOT a PC."
This is explained here:
But you can run Linux on it.
As already said, there will probably be no Windows drivers for the built-in console components.
pretty thing
