I bought an XBox One S and quickly noticed that the fan is VERY loud. That would not be a problem in itself, but it rattles very funny, which is quite annoying. I often read that many consoles have this problem. Is that normal? Should I exchange the console?

The fan is probably damaged by a ball bearing, or a plastic part has got stuck there, or something similar.
The fan can actually be replaced.
Reparatur.Land often helps.
So that was a typical problem before. All the very first models (with a certain model number xxx) had a production defect at the time and the console could be exchanged without any problems. I was lucky back then and got the Xbox One S with a newer model number.
The PS4 fan is a turbine, but okay
