Excellent words from a reporter from skynews Australia to the young people who recently demonstrated for the climate:

"You are the first generation to have air conditioning in every classroom, your lessons are computer-based, you have a television in every room, you can use electronic means all day.

Instead of walking to school, you use all types of internal combustion engine transport. You are the largest consumer of consumer goods in human history so far. You keep buying new clothes to be "trendy" even though the things from last year are still perfectly fine. Hardly any of you repair your clothes, you have no idea how to replace a broken zipper, let alone how to use a sewing needle.

Everything is thrown away. Your protest will be announced through digital and electronic means. Your mobile phone and tablet are online 24 hours a day. With all of your electronic toys, you are the largest consumer of electricity.

People, before you protest, turn off the air conditioning, walk to school, turn off your cell phones, your PCs, Xbox, PS4s and read a book, make your own sandwich instead of buying it ready-made in plastic packaging.

None of this will happen because you are selfish, ill-educated, manipulated by people who use you, and say that you are doing a noble cause while having fun and enjoying the craziest western luxuries.

Wake up and just shut up your spoiled mouth - find the facts before you protest and first start to improve the world with yourself and do not declare people to be perpetrators who have lived sustainably all their lives.

All of our lives are based on fossil fuels, whether you turn on the lights, use a toothbrush, or go to work. The concrete in your house is not CO2 neutral, your diet is not, and neither is the electric car.

The text is an embarrassment for the gentleman. Because even more nonsensical than blaming each other is pissing off young people who are making themselves and others aware of the climate problem instead of setting a good example.

st

Yes, that's right, and climate change has existed for longer than that with cell phones, etc. That is how it is

There are mainly students who pay attention to their consumption and students who don't care.

The latter was targeted here.
"You are the first generation to have air conditioning in every classroom, your lessons are computer-based, you have a television in every room, you can use electronic means all day."

Then good luck studying in a hot classroom somewhere in Australia. Sometimes it's hot even in Europe. You don't necessarily need a TV in every room, I kind of agree. Electronic means of learning offer many possibilities and as long as the lessons continue to take place locally and not run on servers, this is not so bad now.

"Instead of walking to school, you use all types of internal combustion engine transport. You are the largest consumer of consumer goods in human history. You keep buying new clothes to be 'trendy' despite the things from last year are still completely in order. Hardly any of you repair your clothes, you have no idea how to replace a broken zipper, let alone how to use a sewing needle. "

In my opinion, traveling by bus is also okay; nowadays, buses sometimes even run on electrical energy or hydrogen. This is also true for consumer goods, but only for those who do not pay attention to their consumption. Above all, the thing about clothes is something I don't understand and hate. But those who pay attention to their consumption will not support that either.

"Whatever it takes is thrown away. Your protest is announced by digital and electronic means. Your mobile phone and tablet are online 24 hours a day. With all your electronic toys, you are the biggest consumer of electricity."

The infrastructure does not need a lot of electricity either, the clients in particular have minimal electricity consumption.

"People, before you protest, turn off the air conditioning, walk to school, turn off your cell phones, your PCs, Xbox, PS4s and read a book, make your own sandwich instead of buying it ready-made in plastic packaging."

As I said, that doesn't need a lot of electricity. A cell phone maybe a maximum of 5 watts, a PC (RTX3090 + Ryzen 9 5950X) at full load maybe 600 watts, consoles maybe 200 watts. The infrastructure behind maybe 200 watts with active use. Books also cause CO2. But ready-made sandwiches should be avoided if possible. So I wouldn't want to sit in an Australian school at 40 degrees Celsius, or walk 10km at 30 degrees.

"Wake up and just shut up your spoiled mouth - find the facts before you protest and first start to improve the world with yourself and do not declare people to be perpetrators who have lived sustainably all their lives."

In the past, people didn't necessarily have to live sustainably. Just maybe not as polluted as today's consumers. Protecting the environment does not have to mean doing without everything. Protecting the environment only means that you should emit as much CO2 as the environment can convert (for example through trees).

Completely correct text. I went to several FFF demos - and I was shocked when I saw all the rubbish there (especially drinks cups and plastic packaging) afterwards. For this purpose rel. Many young people picked up by their parents by car (instead of taking the bus). And I have seen the problems our disposable clothing causes on the markets in the "3rd world" (observed in Guatemala and Tanzania). The textile and clothing industry there's being destroyed (barely exists any more) - and our disused "clothes" are flooding the markets.

Mi

What nonsense. The person who uttered this quote did not see the point of climate activism, nor did he understand the extent of the environmental impact on our way of life. Obviously a rather small-minded person who can call himself a reporter. Probably from BILD.

Gi

Oh, and so the kids who are slandered in the chain letter and by you exported these clothes?
Or what do you want and say?

no

Completely correct text.

Only when you look at it with your eyes.

"You are the first generation to have air conditioning in every classroom, your lessons are computer-based, you have a television in every room, you can use electronic means all day.

The text would be correct if the children who come to school had built their school themselves with all these technical achievements.

But they haven't, they were born into this world. When they first started class at six, they didn't know the price of all these conveniences. After years they have realized that it can't go on like this and they are now demanding to change that.

It has been known since the 1970s where it all leads. Probably the author of this text is ashamed of his own convenience of not having done something himself and now wants to distract.

We screwed it up, not the kids rising up now!

Ab

No, the clothes were probably collected by the parents as part of "charitable clothes donations". They permanently destroy the structures that have grown in the countries - just like the dumping export of food surpluses by the EU. And because of "defamation" - I have only described my own observations.

Ru

Your text does not get beyond an insult attempt.

Because even more nonsensical than blaming each other is pissing off young people who are making themselves and others aware of the climate problem instead of setting a good example.

Let's say FFF seriously believes that anthropogenic CO2 is the main cause of global warming.

Then why don't they address the fact that more and more people naturally consume more and more primary energy? Then why don't they address the fact that more and more globalization and industrialization naturally increase the per capita production of CO2? That the immigration of people from CO2-mild regions into strongly CO2-generating regions naturally means an increase in CO2 generation?

FFF is lying and externally controlled.

Ru

Oh, and so the kids who are slandered in the chain letter and by you exported these clothes?

The kids wear the clothes because they want to.

Sometimes you can, no MUST, call malicious incitement attacks like this txt.
And the point-by-point contradiction of this work IS linked. And we're on the Internet, where nothing prevents you from clicking this link and reading this:

Fr

I'm pleased that, in contrast to the text in question, you are participating constructively - and even almost factually!

To your questions / allegations:

Then why don't they address the fact that more and more people naturally consume more and more primary energy? Then why don't they address the fact that more and more globalization and industrialization naturally increase the per capita production of CO2?

FFF is about creating awareness for the problem - not solving it. An "eco-Fritz" who railed against plastic creates awareness, but the solution must be initiated by politicians (e.g. Abolition of plastic bags) - which in turn only does this with pressure from society. Like FFF it is.

Growing prosperity also increases energy consumption. Digitalization. And above all: if you want to leave fossil fuels behind, that means electrification. E.g. Of transport as well as combustion heaters. The energy consumption will multiply 2-3x in the climate change. Saving energy is the wrong or short-sighted way.

Ru

FFF is about creating awareness for the problem - not solving it.

THEN would have to… S.o.

It's about carbon bashing to 'save' the big US banks. It's like 2008. It's mainly the banks that make it, especially the big US banks with their World Bank and the IMF. If existing, functioning technology is destroyed, then the state, companies and private individuals have to get money from banks to build up new technology. In 2008, this became clear to every thinking person when there was a 'scrapping bonus' in Germany to save the banks, disguised even then as an 'environmental bonus'.

https://de.wikipedia.org/...r%C3%A4mie

And then of course the green industry earns money. The banks have invested a lot in this industry.

And politics can easily distract from the fact that we're becoming more and more productive, but still fewer and fewer people have enough time and money for their own children, the retirement age is rising, pensions are falling, the learning curve is increasing, but in Germany less and less high-tech -Products are manufactured and D can offer fewer and fewer jobs for highly qualified people, who global players earn more and more here, but pay less and less taxes, food costs and rents rise overinflationary and more and more rents are flowing to shareholders abroad (untaxed), the costs of home ownership rise overinflationary, we have the highest electricity costs and the worst internet, the problem of mass immigration is still unsolved, corona actionism exists in Germany and at the same time 2-3 times as many corona deaths as the global average…

And of course the state can shift incomes from the bottom up with more and more CO2 taxes. A ton of CO2 from gasoline costs over 408 euro in taxes in Germany, the FfF demos have even stifled the yellow vests in France. Hats off! That was very cleverly engineered by the banks. See also:

Last but not least: It is due to the anthropogenic greenhouse clouds, not the anthropogenic greenhouse gases! Unfortunately, scientifically based information for the population is increasingly being prevented in this state.

Fr

Oh yes "those up there". All right! I'm out.

Nice day!

Ru

Nope, not those up there. Those up there are you and me. Lies and deceit and censorship come from those down there, the performance sneaks and would-be leaders.

Ab

No, because other clothing is no longer manufactured and offered.
