Xbox game pre-order when to pay?

I would like to buy a game from the Xbox One Microsoft Store, do I have to pay for it directly or will the money only be withdrawn when the game is released?

PayPal, Microsoft / Xbox voucher cards or phonetic vouchers are paid for 10 days prior to the release of an Xbox game. This pre-order can be canceled before the remaining 10 days; if you pre-order a game for less than 10 days, it will be paid for directly, with no chance of cancellation. Credit card is debited directly for everything, including pre-orders.
