Whether that works with Windows, no. But it doesn't matter whether you built your PC yourself or had it ready for purchase… Your operating system is exactly the same. As long as it's an Xbox 360 controller, it definitely works.

With cable, it definitely works on Windows 10. I'm not so sure about wireless, but in any case your motherboard would have to support Bluetooth if there's no USB wireless adapter for the controller.

So for me it works perfectly (Windows 7) Just plug in with a cable and it should start.
