Hey wanted to ask if I can play with the new Xbox Series X / S controller on the Xbox One S?
Yes, I just did it on the One X, but should be the same with the S. Even the new share button works flawlessly on the One X!

Yes, but in your first answer you wrote that the xbox one x controller should be connected to the one s. And the series x / s is a different one

Yes you can do it without any problems!
The Xbox ecosystem allows you to use almost all Xbox accessories without having to buy extra accessories for the respective generation.
You connect your Xbox Series controller in the same way as the Xbox One controller.
Simply press and hold the connect button on the console and controller for 3 seconds. (This does not have to happen at the same time) The Xbox logo on the controller and on the console should flash.
