I think your friend has voice chat over the loudspeaker. This means that your voice is played back in his microphone and you hear everything twice (I speak from experience)
otherwise try to reset your sound settings. Then it should work
Has it been ensured that the audio output goes through the headphones / headset for all of them? Otherwise it could be because of that.
