Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Drift. Repair?

Who doesn't know the Joy-Con problem when hearing the term "drift"? At first I wasn't affected. However, a year later, after this topic, it caught me too. Exactly as they say: only the left analog stick has this problem, not the right one. Following Nintendo's instructions, I tried to fix the error myself (on software level such as updates, calibration, etc.), but unsuccessfully. I then noticed that the drift problem can also be sent in for repair outside of the warranty period. However, I can't find any confirmation on the Internet from Nintendo that this is the case. Now I have applied for a complaint and have already received return documents. My questions would now be:

Has anyone already experienced this type of complaint? Did someone really not have to pay anything outside of the warranty period? Sending it back and forth costs nothing in itself and would get a cost estimate according to Nintendo.
Do I have to send both Jo-Cons? In other words: left and right Joy-Con or just the defective one?

I thank you in advance and wish you a nice day.

Nintendo was sued for the drift problem, but it was agreed that they would fix it free of charge and that it would go without a court. So you actually get it repaired free of charge.

You just have to send the defective one.

The right joycon will also begin to drift over time

Even the repaired person will start drifting again, the solution: contact spaty

The information from nintendo is correct so far.

I hope I could help so briefly and concisely ^^

Thank you for your help!

I've read that Nintendo was sued. However, the whole thing happened in America and as I saw, Germany is not affected. However, these are only forums that can't give any confirmations. In other words: statements from Nintendo directly that they will also repair it free of charge in Germany. Can be very important in some moments ^^.

Fortunately, the right Joy-Con has not yet been affected. Then, as you already mentioned, I will only send the left. Otherwise, I also try the contact spray if it doesn't work after returning and after a while.

Friends of mine got the controller repaired free of charge so it should work in Germany too ^^
