I noticed that the Nintendo Network was hacked and have now activated the two-factor authentication for fear of what will happen. You can do that with an app. I have now put everything in well and well but what is the app connected to? Only with my cell phone? Does that mean if I lose my cell phone / it breaks, will I also lose my Nintendo Account? Or is it related to my google mail? (the app is called "Google Authenticator")

Using Google as an authenticator may not be the best idea either. Better use LastPass Authenticator
