To the gamers among you: do you think Nintendo is a good development studio? Has Nintendo shaped the gaming scene?

I've been dealing with Nintendo more and more recently, be it the older generation of consoles like the Wii or the newer Nintendo Switch. I noticed that Nintendo publishes completely different games in terms of style and is generally a total ricochet every time compared to the other consoles / development studios. Even so, they hold up pretty well in competition.

I mean, the Wii / Wii you is still the only console of its kind and even when the Nintendo Switch came out in 2017 it was completely different from the previous console hits XBOX and PS4.

And the games are always completely different from what is currently trendy, but are still huge successes like Smash Bros, Legend of Zelda (especially the older parts like Ocarino of Time) Splatoon or the Mario Universe.

What do you say?

But I personally don't like them because they crush pretty much all fan projects. For whatever reason. And they don't dare to do much new things anymore. Except to exploit the old one with new parts.

I really love Nintendo games and consoles! I grew up with it. I always loved the consoles.

To be fair, I find some games for the Switch disproportionately expensive. If you want to have 60 euro and more for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, then I can understand, because this is a huge open world game in which you can spend several hundred hours of playing time. But 55 euro for Smash? Rather less acceptable.

In my opinion the Nintendo Switch is the only console that is worth it right now… Xbox One and PS4 are just a worse PC with fewer options. The Switch is something very special again. A hand held console that has never existed before. There's no such thing with PCs either.

With the Xbox One and the Ps4 you can get a PC straight away because everything is better there.

But not with the Switch.

Jup, the one in particular the Mario range. With Legend of Zelda they did it well with Breath of the Wild, but the others like Sonic - or Mario are just boring now.

For me, Nintendo is the most important company in the gaming scene. I own all Nintendo consoles (except a few from the game and watch series and the virtual boy + the light boy). At my parents' home I have 2 huge closets full of games from Nintendo consoles. Nintendo is the last company to focus on video games. The only thing I didn't like about Nintendo is that they stayed on card bridge for a relatively long time.

I think it would be great if new, big financed metroit games came back

Like any company, Nintendo is designed to make a profit, which is why its most popular series are the most expensive.

Personally, I bought Smash for 70 euro when it was released. If you live in the village, so you rarely come across electrical shops, that's okay, I guess. But it was totally worth it in my opinion. I had a lot of fun hours with friends and definitely more exciting train and car journeys with the game and also with the music. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who actually likes to just listen to music on the Switch. ^^ '

Ok, that was very long, but I LOVE Smash so it had to be! = P
