So I have a Nintendo Switch and I decided to play Warframe on it. The game requires 21.4 GB of storage space. Since the switch has a total internal memory of 32 GB, I had to delete / archive almost all other software titles. Recently Warframe needed a major update and I was shown that it was too big for the Switch's internal storage. So I was forced to buy an SD card. The SD card I bought has 512 GB of storage space. I put it in the switch and the switch recognized it. In the system settings → data management, the additional SD card memory was now displayed in addition to the total memory. Now to my problem: When I tried to download the update, I received an error code and said that I had to delete the software and download it again. When I did that, the first thing I noticed was that it took 16 hours instead of the maximum 5 hours. With 99% of the download, i.e. The installation, the download aborted and the same error code message came. The next 3 attempts were the same. Then today I tried to load the game into the system memory (without SD card) which also worked. It took 1.5 hours, so pretty quickly. If I now insert the SD card and want to play the game, I get the message that incorrect data has been found and Warframe is now being checked. The result of the check: no incorrect data found. Game was still not playable, because the Switch wanted to check Warframe again and again, but found nothing. If I remove the SD card, the game can be started and played as normal. From this I conclude that the problem lies with you SD card. It is new and therefore not damaged. It is a 512 GB Micro SDXC. Does anyone know why you can't load games or updates on it and why Warframe can't be played with an SD card? I've already restarted the console but it doesn't help.
A new SD card can also be broken. Check if it works normally in other devices. Did you format them in the switch? Otherwise the switch can't use it. At that time I had to shut down and restart the switch so that it recognized the SD card and I could format it. After that, if I remember correctly, she made a new start.
I formatted it, but Fortnite, for example, can't be loaded on it. It stops again at 99% and an error message appears. Then I'm asked to start the download again.
Today I was at Expert / Vodafone customer advice. They said I should return the card to Amazon and have it exchanged. I will do that now. I also noticed that I can't exchange data between the console and SD card. And I noticed that YT can be loaded onto the map. However, this worked exactly once
