Davinci Resolve 16 Media Pool Media Offline?

I have an important problem: I want to paste the recordings from my Nintendo Switch into Davinci Resolve 16. But even in the Media Pool, Resolve does not show me the preview, only an error message "Media Offline". Is the file protected in any way?

I noticed that the videos are read-only, but removing this attribute didn't help. How can a video file that can be played just like that in VLC Media Player be protected?!

Can davinci read the codec at all? Most of them do dynamic bitrates, something davinci doesn't like very much. So convert

I've already tried that with VLC Media Player…

The video codec is not installed or compatible.

MP4? For real?

MP4 is not a codec, but a video container that can contain videos with different codecs.

The VLC player can show you the video codec.
