I wanted to know how best to clean these rubber joysticks from JoyCons. Because of the many games it doesn't feel as new anymore or it is glitchy / oily and not so smooth and dry anymore, because the sweat (or dirt) gets stuck even with something like that. I saw that you should carefully clean the surface with a cotton swab with cleaning alcohol, but on the other hand I was also told that you should not do this because the rubber feels sticky in the end.
Do you know how best to clean the rubber? (Unfortunately, fiberglass cloth didn't do much)
You should rather buy thumbcamps and put them on them so that the joysticks don't even get into this condition.
Cleaning alcohol is not recommended because you attack the top layer with it.
Try it first with water (microfiber cloth because otherwise you have lint on it ^^ ')
In principle, water with a rinse is enough when it gets dirty. You don't need anything aggressive.
Ok so a little water and washing-up liquid on a cloth and then carefully clean over it?
But sticking or something else doesn't end up it?
Ok and should I make water on a rag and clean it or what else?
And what cloth should I use to dry it off?
It doesn't really make a difference.
