I bought a New Nintendo 2DS XL and also a 64GB Micro SD. Since you have to format cards over 32GB in FAT32 before they work I have done that too (first try: FAT32 - 8KB cluster size 2nd try: FAT32 - 32 KB cluster size) then the files from the original Micro SD draufgezogen (Mariokart 7 was preinstalled on the card) then inserted and the card could not be read. So he recognizes that one is inserted, but apparently that is not formatted properly. Have tried it with all sorts of programs: no success. Now I hope that someone here can help me.
That's why I would not get such a cheap part. Next time, you better get a 3DS. There's a reason why the New Nintendo 2DS is cheaper because they've saved in the wrong places, as you've noticed by now…
3ds is too expensive, especially since I would not use the 3d function and I also got 100 euro of it given. Other than that, I'd rather get a serious answer than any moral-apostle sermons on buying decisions
Incidentally, a friend with a 3DS has the same problem, so it depends more on the software, because in order to read a higher file format, you do not need better SD card slots
As in many other technically specific things and questions, no one will be able to answer that question (most likely). : /
I always advise contacting Nintendo Customer Service directly, as they are probably the only ones who can help you.
Thank you very much!
