Are such lofi playlists legal?

So, I discovered the YouTube channel just piccu things (relatively few subscriptions) and it makes Nintendo lofi music compilations, i.e. Videos that last about 1 hour and contain Lofi remixes from Mario, Zelda, animal crossing etc. Now I wanted to ask whether it is legal to simply download the music and then upload it in a compilation, because someone made the music too (because of copyright, etc.).

If you have the artist's approval, you can download the music and compile it into a compilation and upload it. Make sure that you give the artist credit for it (link artists or include links from the original videos in the description)

OK thanks. I had already asked the Youtuber about comment and he replied that he can even monetize his videos, but does not do it because it is not his music. He only wrote in the video description which title it is, i.e. Which game and what the title is called, no names such as B. Koji Kondo. Is that so right or legal?

If you use the remix videos: The person who made the remixes and a link to the respective video.

If you're using the original videos: Game - Song Title - Artist.

Which creator are you talking about now? Who made the original music or who made the remix music?
