Hello everybody. I have a switch, from which the Joy cons have broken off (as seen in the picture), and now have to plug it in because I have reset my switch. Since I can logically no longer use this (or only the right one) I wanted to ask whether it is possible to do this without using the joycons. I don't know anyone else who has a switch, so I have no way of using other joycons.
Irgh… So the easiest way would be to send it in and have it repaired. Provided you still have a guarantee (although a repair could still be cheaper than buying a new one)
What keeps the joycon on the display are small hooks. Carefully (for heaven's sake) take off the right JoyCon.
As you already know, there's a little black button for it. When you hold it in your hand, look at this rail and press the button. You see a hook that goes in or out when you let go.
For me this hook was defective, which caused the Joycons to slip out with minimal pressure. Be it from below on the Joycon or from above on the display. (The joycon go up by the display.
I would try to activate this hook or see if you can press it on the bridge that is still there so that it comes loose.
