I wanted to buy a wireless (Bluetooth) controller to play on the PC. Is this controller compatible with the Dolphin emulator or can you only use GC controllers and Wiimotes?

I would always recommend you to buy Microsoft's own Xbox controller (V2).

This has the fullest compatibility with Windows in comparison to other controllers, such as the Ps4 controller

You can actually connect any controller to the PC and change the key assignment in Dolphin itself. I saw that at least once on YouTube
