Do you still know the New Nintendo 3DS? My girlfriend and I always loved playing Animal Crossing New Leafe on it, but my girlfriend also has the Animal Crossing Welcome Amiibo game. She just found her Animal Crossing New Leafe game and played it right away and it is now in her normal Animal Crossing town and has her residents, her house, the hair salon, … From there, however, she has an extra campsite, for example and other things that are only available at Willkommen Amiibo and it was never like that before when she played it.
Has any of you ever heard of it or an idea why? I've never been so confused as before

Welcome Amiibo is an update for the game. That has been around for several years.
Animal Crossing Welcome Amiibo is the update of Animal Crossing New Leaf. The update has been available for all old Animal Crossing New Leaf games since 2016. Since 2016, however, the new versions of Animal Crossing New Leaf have also been sold with the Welcome Amiboo feature (so you didn't have to do your own update). In principle it is the same game. As far as I know, the old version is also compatible with the new one.
