Since animal crossing amiibo cards are currently being asked for really absurd prices, more and more of these homemade amiibo cards are circulating on the internet and especially on ebay. These are mostly completely white and should receive data on the residents from the previous games (as far as I know). I've heard that these are supposed to work really well. However, I have a certain concern.
I have already invested a lot of work in my island and would like to avoid losing it. Do you think there are any negative consequences if you use these illegal amiibo cards? Are they glitches or spells from Nintendo? Do you know anything about it
I could imagine that you could be banned from Nintendo, that is from the online services.
If you make them yourself, it is not illegal as long as they are not resold. I would never buy it, because the seller is in any case punishable as it is with the buyer, I don't know. So buying the original one or making it yourself is the best method

Reselling these cards is definitely not allowed. You can only make these cards yourself if you already have the corresponding (original) Amiibo. I know, nobody does anyway, but that would be the right thing to do.
However, the system can't distinguish the counterfeit cards from the original cards. (Until now, who knows what will come: 'D)
