Amazon: Money reimburses items at home. Do I have to send him back?

So I bought a Nintendo 3Ds game from a third party from Amazon. Unfortunately, this comes from the USA and can't be read by the European devices. But that was not stated anywhere on Amazon so I requested a refund where I would have had to pay the postage to the United States myself. That was too expensive for me so I wrote to the seller and got a useless answer from them (that I should think again and should not give them a bad rating, they did not address the problem at all).

A few weeks later I tried the Amazon a to z guarantee, explained my problem and got my money back.

I still have the game. What am I going to do with it now? Can I be sued if I keep it? I placed the order on 02/18/2020.

To put it mildly, it would not be the first time that after receiving the repayment, you are not asked to return the item. Hüstel… If you understand what I mean.

Yes, if you don't send it back, it's cheating.

Get in touch with Amazon again. In some cases (for particularly cheap products e.g. 2.50 euro) it may be that Amazon will refund the money WITHOUT you having to send the product back. This is because Amazon pays the shipping costs. But if this is more expensive than the product (e.g. 4.99 euro), the loss means for Amazon (2.49 euro loss). They would rather accept that they will pay you back the money without you sending the product back. It's best to check again at Amazon Support.
