To everyone who still plays the old Nintendo DS games: Do you prefer to play the games on the newer 3DS or on the old DS consoles (Lite, i etc.)?
For my part, I prefer to play them on my DS Lite, but when I'm on the road or in the hospital, etc., I only take my New 3DS XL with me and then play the DS games on it.
How does it look with you and why do you prefer to play it on the respective device?
It is not about which games you prefer to play, but which Nintendo device you prefer to play the old, classic DS games on!
I can then take one device to play both and don't have to use two devices. In addition, the hinge on my ds Lite is broken, which is why it is actually just lying around at the moment
That's right, it's really an advantage. However, it bothers me that the upper screen is not completely filled and the graphics seem spongy to me. Somehow I'm probably too perfectionistic. So I prefer to play DS games on a DS Lite
On the 3DS XL, the picture is spongy due to the larger screen, you can't do much against it, the same applies to the aspect ratio, which doesn't bother me personally. I have the "normal" 3DS, on which it can be played comfortably and I can switch between 3DS and DS whenever I want.
So on vacation I play everything on the 3DS because I only have to take a Nintendo with me, but otherwise I play DS games on the DS because I like the feeling. It reminds me of my elementary school years.
For me it is exactly the same, the DS Lite was my first own console back in elementary school.
Better screen and long lasting battery

The picture is more pixelated in DS games because of the scaling. They look sharper on the DS Lite.
