My Nintendo Switch gave up the ghost this morning. It can no longer be switched on, has not responded to the charging cable for hours and hard reset does not work.
The last time I played Super Mario 3D World was via the docking station. Then put on standby and a little later wore it again briefly to synchronize my other Joy-Cons. When I wanted to turn it on again a little later, it was time for work. Since then, nothing works at all.
I use the original Nintendo charging cable, docking station & Joy-Cons.
The days before I noticed in handheld mode that the battery loses 10% in 15 minutes and that only in the main menu or in the eShop Gestöbere. Normal? Hence the question, could the battery be defective?
It can be, but try different cables.
It seems so to me.
Do you have a 2017 switch or a new one? The old ones run out of battery faster.
Write to support, they can help you better than me.
Coincidentally, I have 2 cables ready and also 2 switch consoles in the house. Both cables do not respond, but they do on the other console.
Yes, it is actually a 2017 switch
Then it is normal that it loses the battery a little faster, especially with a bright display. But that's how quickly I get suspicious, I also had a 2017 until recently. Go to support anyway, they will find a solution.
If it no longer charges then the battery is probably gone if you dare you can unscrew and replace the battery is quite easy with the switch, I mean loosen 8 screws or so buy and install a new original battery but be careful and watch out for the battery usually stuck on the bottom if my battery is defective I will also replace it myself otherwise if you still have the guarantee sent in
Thanks for the hint. Replaced the thermal paste a long time ago, and it worked wonderfully. However, this voided the guarantee (to my knowledge) if you tinker with yourself. Hopefully it's the battery, I've handled it carefully over the years, it would be a shame if it were more.
What happened to your 2017er if you can ask questions?
The battery will definitely be something else I can hardly imagine
Fan damage and graphics errors. I sold it to a hobbyist and got a Lite
