Paint Joy Cons with Acrylic Paint?

I would like to add a Smash Bros logo with acrylic on my Nintendo Switch Joy Cons (and maybe even on the console itself). Does it work? Or are there other (not so expensive) options?

You could also, if you want to paint the switch necessarily Colorful permanent maker on Amazon or so buy there are very beautiful and sometimes very cheap. Think acrylic will go off.
