How do I hear my switch and my pc?

I have my Nintendo switch connected to the same monitor that my pc is connected to, I can switch the switch and my pc easily and both work well but if I have my headset with a jack cable that has 2 audio plugs with which I have 2 devices can hear and connect to my pc and my switch, i only hear a slight beeping from my switch but i can hear my computer perfectly, but i would like to hear both. I've tried a lot but I would be very happy if someone could help me.
