I bought the game for the Nintendo Switch today and read that certain settings and the German language could lead to errors.
With the settings, you should probably not upload any saves to a cloud or switch off the autosave function because the game would crash or other problems occur.
The language apparently must not be in German if you want to fight against the meat wall or against Plantera, otherwise no messages will appear and the world will not change anymore.
Do these problems still exist today or are there other errors that have to be considered?
Rather less. It's still the case that there aren't all minerals in every world, but the final update has come recently and the game is pretty mature.
The last update is supposed to 1.4. "hot", but it usually takes longer to appear for the consoles.
PS: I've never had Terraria and the controls on the Nintendo Switch are very strange and take some getting used to.
I do not know for PC
The Internet said that it should only appear in 2020.
So I've never had any mistakes and I play it in German. But on the PC. Ergo I do not know how it is on the consoles.
As far as I know, the language issues have been fixed. But since I play in English, I can't confirm at first hand that it is. I also have little to say about the console versions because I only play on the PC. But as I said: Mittlerweiler these problems should no longer occur.
What I do know is that the German translation is incorrect. For example, some items do not do exactly what is stated in the German item description. It also consists of fairly broken German, which is difficult to read.
Okay, let's see what "great" descriptions and other texts will be waiting for me.
The controls on a console are made very cumbersome, but there's at least the possibility to change the key assignments.
I've noticed a few bugs while playing:
1. It rarely happens, but sometimes a slime monster is stuck in the floor or in a wall. This slime can move freely through the blocks and only comes out when it reaches a gap without a block. Once he is outside, he can no longer "walk" through other blocks and is blocked by the blocks like the other slimes if the height is too high. Mostly it is black slime or "slime mummies" that are in the blocks.
2.Once I found a crystal heart with only the left half and the right half was completely missing. After I dismantled this half heart it looked like the other crystal hearts again and could also be used like the others to increase the life points a bit.
3. In the dungeon / dungeon there are a few banners on the walls where you can see the block in the middle, which is behind it. So similar to half the crystal heart, only that this time something was missing in the middle.
All just small things that do not affect the game any further. You can find such errors in practically every game.
