I bought a new Samsung monitor (31.5 "/ curved) 3 days ago. This morning I sat down at the computer and wanted to start it.
: I can no longer start the menu list
: After I switch on the device, my screen (illuminated in black) turns white after 30 seconds. (See image)
: No matter which HDMI cable I use, nothing happens (even without HDMI)
: Even when I connect my MacBook / PlayStation to it, nothing happens.
(This is this device)
Samsung C32JG52 80 cm (32 inch) Curved Gaming Monitor (HDMI, DisplayPort, 3.5 mm audio, 4ms response time (G / G), 144 Hz refresh rate, 2560 x 1,440 pixels), dark silver
Can I assume a defect?
I assume that the screen is defective. Tinkering with it now is no good. If you can give it back.
Is the easiest and safest. Just take the TV as a screen like me. Is bigger, better and easier.
Try to use a different connection (DVI, DisplayPort, possibly VGA)
as it could be a defect in the HDMI connection.
TV is generally unsuitable as a screen because it has a poorer response time, often fewer images per second and no sync options, which means that tearing, etc., greatly disturbs the experience during gaming
if you only use it for Office, of course, it works. Even in action films with fast image changes, I noticed the tearing etc. Already
Point for you! But: If you have a good TV that has UHD or 4K, then none of that is a problem. I've been playing for years and haven't had a monitor in ages. The options are just better.
Still wish you the best of luck that everything works out.
