Rainbow six Siege KD question?

I've been playing Rainbow for almost 5 years. I'm level 197 and have a KD of 1.6 and I can't find an exact answer on the Internet, but does my KD increase even if I lose the ranked match? Because I often have 5-15 kills and hardly any deaths and my KD usually increases when I have victories? Does it seem like that to me or can my KD also increase the kills and death rate if I have 12 kills and 2 deaths in the rank? I'm not familiar with it, I ask because it feels like that, and I play on the PS4

W / L is independent of K / D. Chances are you're just more likely to win games if you have good K / D too.

So just to be on the safe side I'm now losing 10 games in a row as an example, but since all rounds had 10 kills and 2 deaths, do I get a better KD?

You won't really see the difference the more kills and deaths you have. But yes, the KD doesn't care whether you win or lose.
