PCSX2 legal? Where do you get the games from? 2 players on the PC?

Tach together,

As you have already read, I would like to know if you can use this Playstation 2 emulator for PC legally. But what matters most to me is where you get the games from. Most sites look too insecure and actually you have to pay for the games and just downloading sounds too easy for me. At the end I get another bill. And I do not even want to start with uTorrent! What is still difficult, is the appropriate game to find or EU version so I can put the game in German. I still have a lot of Playstation 2 games, but the console has given up the ghost. And since I like to be on the PC I thought that this can be combined quite well and I then not have a console and more cables lying around with me.

Can you reuse the games you still have in your case for PC? With some extra program? Would only be illegal if I spread it on the Internet. Because the game I've already paid?

Can I connect 2 USB controllers and then play to 2 on the emulator?

Or is there a site where you can get an ISO file from the game in the right language for the right emulator for a certain extra charge?

Some think that this is certainly a stupid idea and you can anyway buy a PS2 for 50 euro, but I would like it digital on my PC.

Ch

You can use the emulator to play and play the official PS2 games!

My last knowledge (would have been around 2016/17):

The emulator is legal unless it needs an extra downloaded bios - there was copyright on it or something.

In any case, pulling a bios from the PS2 was illegal - but later emulators soon ran completely without such a bios.

And downloading PS2 games is also illegal. Even if you have it at home. Because you then load a copy made illegally by the uploader. So from an illegal source.

But if you have a DVD drive in the PC, you can just insert your original PS2 DVDs and play with them.

And I mean, the emulator had controller support… But playing with an emulator for two, I never tried that.

Hope my information is correct so far, completely reproduced from memory.
