Is it a criminal offense to make PS Plus on your PS4 without paying for it?

I heard that due to a bug (which also has a lot of tutorials) you can make PS Plus on your PS4 account without having to pay for it.

If I try it and it actually works, would I be punishable or not guilty since it is a bug?

Ps. Many of my friends have already tried it and it worked for them.

A permanent ban would not be punishable.

I have never heard of anything else that really works

If you already know that it may not be a good idea, then you better stay away from it. Many people put some troll videos on the net and then hope that someone is stupid enough to do it and break their whole PSN account.

You surely have enough games for your console. Do you want to lose access to all of your games?

In addition, a PSN membership is not even as expensive as Internet per month. So even with pocket money that is quite feasible.

This could well be seen as "sneaking up on achievements" and could be prosecuted (which would still be very unlikely).

In addition, you are pretty much violating the PSN terms and conditions, which would probably lead to an end of the contractual relationship, i.e. No more PSN for you.

Difficult. So that it is punishable it would have to be proven that you intentionally caused the bug. And not accidentally affected.

If it is a security hole, it will either not be closed or will be closed in the foreseeable future.

If because of the described in the tutorials are understandable as "deliberately brought about the bug" then in the slightest case there should be a permabann for your account. Which means that all of your games bought through the account are gone.

In the worst case, it is actually a criminal offense to steal benefits.

By the way, how does it work.
