Battlefront 2 is relatively similar to Battlefront but there are more heroes, modes and it is new that there are different classes (attack, heavy, officer, specialist) in addition there are air troopers, infiltrators and reinforcement units.
By the way, Battlefront 2 doesn't get any more updates but is a good shooter for the stand and for Star Wars fans it's really breathtaking because you can fight on Geonosis, Crait or Kamino and the graphics are really great.
Fortunately, there's no more Pay to Win and you only level by playing and there are no more loot boxes
The only things you can still buy are skins or the Celebration Edition
Battlefront 2 is actually still often played on the PS4 and you can find a relatively large number of games.

There's e.g. Arcade where you can create your own battle scenarios, this is the only game mode that you can play in pairs on a PS4
And there's still instant action. This game mode is sort of like the online domination mode, just offline and without the ship phase
If you don't like PVP and still want to level up, there's the PVE mode of co-op missions where you can also acquire new weapons such as the T-21
Only hero modes or the standard mode Galactic Attack are unfortunately not available online
